Monorail still as holiday crowd arrives (Las Vegas Review-Journal) - Although tourists such as Fogle seemed to shrug off the monorail loss, system officials concede the rail line is suffering a black eye with its extended shutdown into Labor Day weekend, one of the year's busiest getaway holidays. The monorail, closed since a wheel fell from a train Wednesday morning, is almost certain to stay shuttered today. When it might resume service is a day-to-day decision. Officials say they won't pile people back on board until they are sure the system is safe.
